>BINS, SKIPS, SUN, AND DECAY

//

With this roll of Fujifilm 400, I feel the colours are more balanced and punchy. The grain is finer too. There’s a lot more light and shadow in these pictures — helped by better weather and a bit more thought in how I was shooting.

This roll includes images from St. Peter’s Seminary — full of concrete, graffiti, brutalism, and lines. It’ll also feature in my next set (Kodak Gold 200), so that should make for an interesting comparison — especially against the Harman Phoenix 200, which didn’t quite land for me.

All of these were shot using the Minolta MD 28mm f/2.8 lens. I’d been leaning towards the 35mm f/2.8, but I really like the wider field of view the 28mm gives me in tighter spaces. I’ve started looking into the Minolta 24mm f/2.8 as a possible next step. I may sell the 50mm f/1.4 — as nice as it is, I’m just not reaching for it.
